Together, they navigate the absurdity of reliving the same day, pulling off crazy pranks, having existential crises, and of course falling for each other in the process.

At first, Sarah resists the loop, desperately searching for a way out, while Nyles has long since accepted his fate, coasting through life with a “nothing matters” attitude. But as they spend more time together, their shared boredom turns into genuine companionship, leading to some unexpectedly heartfelt moments.

What makes Palm Springs stand out is its sharp, witty humor mixed with an emotional core. Yes, kids, back in the day, this was the only way to watch an ad-free movie without waiting for it to air on TV. Streaming? Never heard of it.

Enchanted is what happens when a classic Disney fairy tale collides headfirst with modern-day New York City. The film follows Giselle (Amy Adams), a princess from the animated kingdom of Andalasia, who is magically transported to real-life Manhattan by an evil queen (Susan Sarandon). Lost and confused (because Times Square is basically the opposite of a Disney castle), she’s taken in by a skeptical but kind-hearted divorce lawyer, Robert (Patrick Dempsey), who has zero belief in “happily ever afters.” Meanwhile, her animated Prince Charming (James Marsden) follows her to the city, proving that old-school fairy tale logic doesn’t quite work in the real world.

With a perfect mix of satire, humor, and heart, Enchanted pokes fun at classic Disney tropes while also celebrating them. And let’s not forget Amy Adams’ absolute brilliance, her performance as the overly cheerful, singing-in-the-streets princess is what truly sells the film. And That’s How You Know is one of my favourite song.

If you love fairy tales but also enjoy a bit of self-aware comedy, this movie is a must-watch. Plus, it’s always fun to see how New Yorkers react to spontaneous musical numbers in the middle of Central Park.

Directed by Nora Ephron, Sleepless in Seattle is one of those rare films that makes you believe in destiny, love at first sight, and the magic of a simple radio show. The story follows Sam Baldwin (Tom Hanks), a grieving widower who moves to Seattle with his young son, Jonah. One night, Jonah calls a radio talk show and convinces his father to talk about how much he misses his wife. On the other side of the country, Annie Reed (Meg Ryan), a journalist in Baltimore, hears Sam’s heartfelt confession and, despite being engaged, feels an unexplainable connection to him.

This is the movie which I found while going through Hans Zimmer’s filmography and then I saw the trailer and thought why not give it a try and I wasn’t disappointed.

What starts as an unlikely friendship soon turns into a chaotic yet heartwarming connection, especially when they team up for a dance competition that neither of them is remotely prepared for.

What makes Silver Linings Playbook stand out is its raw, unfiltered look at mental health and relationships. It’s funny, heartbreaking, and hopeful all at once, with stellar performances from both Cooper and Lawrence (who, by the way, won an Oscar for this role). And let’s not forget the obsessive Philadelphia Eagles fandom, because apparently, football is just as crucial to the plot as romance.
